X/procure® Software delivers ground-breaking electronic procurement and advertising software to the South African healthcare industry. In 2005 the company became a subsidiary of Primedia Unlimited, the ambient advertising arm of Primedia Limited. Now, in 2007 its Version 3 pharmacy software interface has been completely revamped making it faster, better, simpler to use giving both pharmacists and advertisers further value added benefits.Among the system’s improved offerings are a dedicated Loyalty section which allows pharmacies to interact directly with the incentive programme and be aware at all times of their rewards status; an added Library function assists pharmacists to improve their knowledge through access to industry specific content, tutorials or newsfeeds, and the Overstock function allows pharmacists to list their overstocked items and distribute these to a closed group of users. Pharmacists will be alerted every morning of the update of their X/points status (X/procure®’s unique rewards programme) from the previous day, which means they are always aware of their X/points balance. To further enhance the features, Custom Reports were re-defined, making the reports on X/procure® more user-friendly. Pharmacists can now even search for order numbers on the system. Another feature requested by valued clients, the Pharmacists, was to include a monthly history on the Order screen, which would assist in preventing over stock situations in pharmacy. “Search speed for Version 3 has been greatly improved and the pharmacists’ monthly history can be displayed including or excluding regrets received,” says Deon Lewis, MD for X/procure®. “On the advertising opportunities front, default advertising has been increased from one to infinity, with rolling ads – a great opportunity for pharmaceutical manufacturers to reach this niched market who continuously interact with our system.” “In line with current trends, all advertising is now fully animated ensuring more interaction directly with pharmacists.
